Mathematics IRL
We had great fun with Measurement this week in Room 19!
We used different parts of our body to measure objects in and around the classroom!
Next week we will share our observations and understandings of how non-standard units of measurement 'measure up.'
We recorded our data. |
Isaac uses his feet to measure the width of the playgorund! |
Cimone also uses her feet! |
Sophie chose to measure the wobbly bridge with her hands. |
Caleb and Finn both combined their body lengths to measure the playground width! They the worked out what was different when only one person's body was used! |
Laura carefully records her findings. |
Aston somehow measured the entire fireman's pole with his hand width! |
