Chinese New Year Celebrations!
Week 2! This week we celebrated Chinese New Year! We read all about the 15 days of celebrations and were very lucky to have Jacey teaching us how to make a New Year lantern!!! We also had an amazing Dragon Dance performance in the hall!

Week One!!!!! Done and Dusted!!!!
What a great first week we have had in Room 19! Ms. Maloni is over-the-moon to have a class full of amazing students! They have shown that they can already use their initiative and work well together!
This week we were lucky enough to have a day off for Waitangi day. This is a special day in New Zealand so we learnt about the Treaty of Waitangi, who signed it, and how and why we celebrate it's signing with a public holiday. We decided to create our own treaty that we will all agree to, sign, and follow in Room 19.
This picture shows some of the fantastic thoughts that we shared when we worked together to come up with our set of rules!
