What a great first week we have had in Room 19! Ms. Maloni is over-the-moon to have a class full of amazing students! They have shown that they can already use their initiative and work well together!
This week we were lucky enough to have a day off for Waitangi day. This is a special day in New Zealand so we learnt about the Treaty of Waitangi, who signed it, and how and why we celebrate it's signing with a public holiday. We decided to create our own treaty that we will all agree to, sign, and follow in Room 19.
This picture shows some of the fantastic thoughts that we shared when we worked together to come up with our set of rules!
What a fantastic brainstorm room 19! I can see many of the G.E.M.S learning powers in there. I am excited to see what your treaty will look like when you have finished making and signing it.
