Hello!
In Room 19 we have been sharing stories and information about our families as part of investigating what makes us who we are.
We have loved hearing about how families came to be living here in New Zealand and some of the childhood memories of our parents and Grandparents!

Isla told us a great deal about Holland and we all passed around the dolls in traditional costume she brought! We had a great discussion about windmills, dykes, tulips, clogs and cheese! |

Poppy shared a book which details her family history! We really enjoyed looking at the family tree and realising how many people can all be connected in one family tree! |
Your stories about your families look amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting when others share how families came to be living here in New Zealand or childhood memories of parents or Grandparents!
Madison and Olivia - your family Coat of Arms are beautiful.
Chloe your mother's family photo is very special.
Isla I bet the class found your talk about Holland very interesting - especially the dolls in traditional costume you brought!
Poppy your family history album with the the family tree is very precious and certainly does show how many people are related to each other!
What a diverse range of people from different nationalities there are in Room 19. It is so great to see you all sharing about your family background. These are special people in our lives and it is important that we treasure them and the time we spend with them. I will look forward to coming into Room 19 to learn more on my next visit.
